Solar 101

If you’re new to solar and feeling a bit overwhelmed, Solar 101 is the perfect starting point. We’ve designed this course to give you the core knowledge you need without bogging you down with complicated formulas or technical jargon.

Over two days, you’ll get a clear understanding of how solar electricity works, what PV systems do, and how their parts fit together. Plus, you’ll learn how to talk about it confidently - whether you're helping customers or working with colleagues. We’ll walk you through everything from criteria for choosing the right components to answering common customer questions about safety and cost.

By the end, you'll be ready to tackle conversations about solar like a pro - even if you've never worked in the field before!

The Solar 101 course was developed to help non-technical people understand solar, including:

• Solar newcomers with no technical background

• Youth and Matriculants looking for basic solar education

This course has no pre-requisites. It is a basic course open to anyone interested in solar PV.
